The White Plains Cares Coalition envisions a culturally diverse community that promotes a safe and healthy environment b utilizing community dynamics and resources to help its youth and families live healthy, productive, and self-sufficient lives,
Mission Statement
The mission of the White Plains Cares Coalition is defined as follows:
1) to identify the impact of substance abuse in the White Plains community, especially among youth and;
2) to advocate for and provide substance abuse prevention for the White Plains community, particularly youth.
Coalition Goals
- Establish and strengthen collaboration among White Plains Cares Coalition’s partner organization in support of the community’s effort to prevent and reduce substance use among youth; and
- Reduce substance use among youth in White Plains, NY, and, over time, reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing the community issues that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
